The promoters of both festivals have had rude shocks this year.

Which may also end up being a double whammy if it puts people off early purchasing tickets for next year's event if they fear acts might withdraw.

Heres another tip for music festivals...

If two acts you want to see are playing at the same time.... you don't HAVE to miss out on one..... you can see some of both of them :)

I'm not sure anyone quite knows, and things can go wrong — the disastrous back-to-back stages at the first Auckland Laneway come to mind — but…

@RB: I agree – $185 for 2+ hours of PJ at Western Springs is a good deal. Can't keep all the people happy all the time tho, the whiners will always find something to moan about. Every BDO I've been to has involved some very sweaty palmed decision making internally…
