My first instinct was to send a lump sum as usual but on further consideration I've set up a monthly AP totalling about what I'd expect to be dropping in lump sums over a year.

Yep, I suspect it's non-trivial, given that Supermodel is hand-rolled by Cactuslab. You don't have the repository of plugins that larger distributions have.

I chose the donation option because, like Moz says above, the foreign currency transaction fees can get pretty hefty in a subscription arrangement.

For us in forn parts the transaction costs on a subscription can get quite out of hand. I pay something like $2.50 in fees every time I spend foreign currency, so a one-off makes more sense. But yes, fair value received.

FWIW, Capture doesn't interest me even slightly, I've skimmed…
