You were there? Damnit. Love your work.
I'm pretty sure that you and Steven were standing next to each other at some point.

Toby's emails from the good folks of Clark County Ohio, expressing some disagreement with the Guardian's campaign to get liberal Brits to encourage them to vote Bush.
I found myself in complete agreement with the most vituperative ones.

Seconded.

She just can’t help herself.
Oh, I don't know about that....

Yes. Yes, he is.

I was hassling Stephen about his including his last name on his nametag, but if we had a wall o' Ste(ph|v)e going on, then I can see how it would have been useful.
A good night, I thought.

Russell, I will try to remember to click on the ads on this website, since someone is counting, rather than just note them ephemerally.

heh. i note that this thread has temporarily stalled, and i can only assume your hangovers have caught up with you. :)

Or everyone's come down with a Friday case of hair of the dog.
-
Megan Wegan, in reply to
No. It is fair to say there will be no hair of the dog.

If everyone agrees that a good time was had by all, that gets in the way of a lively thread - a point that was made last night by one of the speakers in fact.
-
Giovanni, that's such bullshit.

You and me: outside.
Really, though, we should catch up, since I didn't get to talk to you.

It was a great, great night. Even the bits before Megan and I continued our fine tradition of getting kicked out of bars. Loved it. Next time you'd should all come to ours.

Sacha, in reply to
Fix it and they will come

It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.

Um...I have been to a gathering at your house. I don't want to humiliate myself like that again.

Steve Parks, in reply to
I would like to apologise to anyone I gabbled at incoherently.
Ditto (though I don’t even have the excuse of drinking by the jug).
Especially Steven Price who I think I held up for ages with my opinions about legal stuff - he must never tire of that... -
Steve Parks, in reply to

Indeed. It was a strikingly handsome panel overall.
I must say, when I first saw Graeme, I thought “how did Russell get the guy from Harry Potter on the panel?” -
Emma Hart, in reply to
Darling, I'm sure we can find all new ways for you to humiliate yourself.

Two blocks of soap and a waste paper basket made for a very functional experience.
It was nice having proper soap. The hotel was not so generous.

BTW, staying at friends on the Petone Esplanade, and there is much non-silliness. Might put off the ramble along the beach for a few hours, but not running for the hills either.

Hmm, seems this might be best place to say thanks for last night. Wonderful evening, great people and food, and stimulating conversation and coffee. One of which kept my mind racing well into the night.
Speaking of atmosphere, here's the recording of New Order at BDO 2002 as described.
Hope you find this Steve.Ka kite ano.
