My friend lives in the nearby Housing NZ flats. He said the crowd at the YMCA was quite a phenomenon.

Roller derby is used in the States to promote painkillers and.... Cheerios. (Not those little red sossies we Kiwis know as cheerios, but breakfast cereal.)

it's rough being the only team in town. I used to play in Wellington's only female Gaelic football team. We trained with the lads or amongst ourselves and our first tournament in Auckland against other teams was strange. But we won the tournament!
