    Cuba Mall 1989 Series 1.

If you’ll forgive my nostalgic trip, I went hunting for proof of Wellington life in 1989.

  • Hebe,

Everyone: wonderful pictures. Wellington is my favourite city anywhere. Sometimes (often really) I think about living there again. Please keep posting.

@Jackie: when i left Wellington my friends took over Sit Fischious the ginger cat. They had a weekend house at Paekak, where they would take the two cats each week, and take the cats walking on the beach.

The last was looking towards Makara (and now this view includes windturbines) and this one is taken from the same place looking towards Mt Kaukau. (Note this is on a good day, but on many other days this place covered in mist and gales are common.)

  • Hilary Stace,

It is actually over Ohariu Valley and Mt Kaukau is off to the right.

  • Chris Waugh, in reply to JacksonP,

I went hunting for proof of Wellington life in 1989.

But of course it did! It had colour, too! At the time I was living in Petone and in Form 2.

    Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
