Now that's near sublime to me, a print of that I could live with (monotone bee in flight).

I concur with merc, that's a beaut. Glorious stuff Sophie, I can't think of a colour I'd rather bathe in.

Well if you mean the passion vine hopper, by all means help yourself, but if it's a bee you want.....
Thank you, I'd only ever get a print directly from you :-)

Were you down at the old Turners and Growers site today too? I noticed the seagulls taking a late afternoon bath.

Hebe how can i get rid of picture 2 which is a copy of the above?

I don't know -- the edit box shows no picture attachment so I guess it's there to stay. Doesn't matter -- it Captures the red zone today very well. I'm going back tomorrow to snap an old sign I saw today.

Snap! We were at the exact same spot at different times today. We were also mesmerized by the wildlife retaking the city. So many cleared sites with the handsome Ng Gallery and shop standing tall among them.

Exactly; I'm thinking the rebuild will be long and slow and interesting, with many, many anarchic little corners. It's really a pioneer town again, even down to the low metal buildings -- now containers, used to be corrugated iron.

Hi Gudrun. I tidied up a little. It might be good if the 15 minute edit window included the picture. I'll look into it.
Love the way the thread is meandering now, as Islander said.
Cheers.

Hebe if you see a yellow scooter with a seal on the side and a lady hog in front, that is my transportation. Maybe we meet up somewhere.Cheers.GG

Jackson thank you so much for your housekeeping, much appreciated.

Thank you Islander for your kind words. I totally agree if left to its own devices mother nature would heal the cracks in the most fantastic way. Too bad developers will have the last say in this and square concrete structures are emerging left, right and center.

+1 - then folk could manage their own occasional 'carparks' too :)

Might have to send you a Xmas card this year. That should give me enough time to find a good shot for you ;)
Just so you don't forget, there's this guy we know who does an excellent range of greetings cards from your photos.
You will find him here, there and everywhere.
;-)

I will watch out for you Gudrun. I haven't got much in the way of outwardly identifying features: must work on that ;-)
