Nothing wrong with Sugababes - good pop.

Yeah but without the eyecandy of the album cover they do tend to loose their omph - so to speak.

    Cool video,

but there's something really unnerving/galling/whatever to see a guy 10 years young that yourself swilling beer in front of a computer with a hoodie worth $60m+ USD.

All the while my student debt is peaking and I'm coverting an apple cell phone in the new year.

Still cool vid, his mate's a bit of a tool. "I don't want iTunes on the cell phone" yeah whatever.

I do like the pain in his voice. There's a fine line and even Jobs' closest friends can be cut off if they reveal anything about new apple products, and he doesn't want to give too much away.

New Zealand iTunes Store Coming Wednesday?

    same herald article basically.

But you know, as great as this is, I'm just still going to spend time in Real Groovy in Dunners (they need to do better with the music dvd section though).

    ok way off task here,

    but that voice and...

but compared with the blokes and TVone's line up Marsh is the woman for the weather anytime (in the absence of that climate change denying Augie that is). She actually does a good fist of it most of the time (and I'm a weather freak).

Interweaving threads, wouldn't it be great to get some old Kiwi shows off on Utube and on ipods. i could giggle at Spot On on the bus.

  • Hard News: Awesome,

Patchy, and I' m a huge Who fan. I liked the mini rock opera part of it, and there were one or tow in there that are a lot better live (the who site has live concert footage), but to go so far as making one gag, biit harsh.

bands like the saw doctors make people gag, not the who.

Mind you I saw the Who at the Hollywood bowl in 2002, and inexplicitly they had Counting Crows open for them. Deciding to keep my dignity I found a bar somewhere on the way. The barman got me so ratted on tequila that I arrived just as The Who came on stage. Being a Kiwi and not wanting to walk all the way to the back where my seat was (i didn't know I'd need binoculars), I just spent the night running from ushers jumping in empty seats till a gay couple took pity on a dunk kiwi and let me stand with them. Boy did the happy police ushers frown uopn the lack of health and saftey. I played deaf and igonored them. They are sticklers for being told where to go though, they'd do well in Russian bread ques.

    Whops tangent.

    Simon / Tomorrowpeople

I so agree. Vodafone are infinately cooler than telecom, but if they want to maintian that brand they really need to have the product in the hands (on the bar table tops etc) of the folk out there that are more of a shop window than their stores are.

Using the web, I got all excited about the sony walkman brand of phones (I have a shuffle and laptop is never too far away - no need for big ipod). But when I either rang vodafone or went into one of their store (and this goes to the heart of my discontent with retail in NZ), their trained monkeys would just look blankly back at me like "what the hell are you on - walkman phones well there is only one the w800".

I have found first mobile here in Dunedin to be brilliant, but they are hamstrung by vodafone too?

The w710i might have to wait till Vancouver next year along with those $18 full priced cds.

I agree with the ease of use of the ipod/itunes marriage of software and hardware. But then thats a mac thing isn't it.

To illustrate my point, my last new powerbook I opened in front of my brother who's a .net developer. Opened the box, plugged it in and after putting in the network prefs was off, you know the story.

So bring on a itunes store, should be fun. I'm more keen on the videos to tell the truth, but then I don't know how many music videos there are. I had a ball of a time the other day collecting the most ohbscure 70s music videos. Not the EL&P were ever cool, but fanfare for a common man has a cool video.
