Really? If that is the best ,and don't get me wrong, what happened for him, I would hope for the other thousands in the same situation ,(because we do have thousands), and I'm glad he was able to tell it like it is, but,if that's the best the World can come up with...... Jesus wept.
On the other hand, if his one contribution brings about change in NZ, I'll advocate to put his face on the $20 note. -

One is slightly different to the other. “and sometimes costly to get wrong” which is quite apt here. ;) so really I’d say you were just repeating yourself to make a point .

While TVNZ had bigger budgets it always had a more top-heavy feel, it was more management-dominated.
It's had a lot of restructuring and it may feel quite different now. I know it does for a friend of mine. that could be a good thing.

I get where you are coming from. And agree. I usually choose to ignore the site WO because I find it time I will not be getting back so why upset myself. I'm thinking that when I see a person with say tourettes on the street, I can identify with it because I can see it ,hear it, have an understanding.My empathy and tolerance prevails. On a laptop ,not so much because I cant be sure what the experience is. So honesty about my feelings is all I can give and I tend to be more simplistic, hence just as triggers are about sensitive issues I like to be warned before clicking on the WO site. I don't wish to add to whatever counting has been conjured up to show his popularity or usefulness. That is all for me and ignoring him suits so I do. I'd love to but are not able to help all suffering, but I do get where you are coming from. Slater might be autistic, depressed, any number of things, could even be a friend of the Corrections Minister. Maybe she might give him all the help he needs or wants? Maybe she could help my friend who got teargassed by accident a few weeks ago? Good one AOS, but I digress. Hey he's got a Blog, someone could ask himself!

Surely, if he wanted to deal with his issues ,first and foremost would be to stop what he's doing. And I know he would have been advised as to his ways not being conducive to any healing. He does literally make me feel queasy and his constant abuse of others does invite myself to advertise to others warnings of his intolerant words (imo) The fact he wants to be out there his way will garner the responses he gets. Shame then that perhaps he doesn't want to heal or finds what he does sufficient because society has interpretations for it and that's no always fair or good. It is the way the cookie crumble.

What happens when a couple both have jobs in Manukau and buy a house in the area and then one of them finds a job in another “satellite business centre” in Albany and is faced with a two hour commute?
That's where trains come in handy as proven in many parts of the World. When I lived in Sydney, I worked in the City, (Martin Place and Centrpoint, I had a weekend job in Redfern and I lived in Bondi. The flatmate gave the 1970 VG Valiant 2 Door to a kid down the road because he would visit it to admire it in the street and it sat there never getting used. Trains were our mode of transport. Trains are your friend.

Do you also find it unfair that a parent with a child in a primary school and another at high school gets to vote on the School Boards of both schools,
I guess not but my thought re my vote in Council was that what if someone owns multiple properties in other jurisdictions and nominates their staff to use that 2nd vote,as is the right of business, trusts, the odds could be stacked, which I do think is unfair.
In theory Bob Jones could have (and possibly has) bought a property in every city and district in NZ. That gets him one vote in every city council and district council election.
No, it says you can only vote twice but you can nominate employees to vote for other properties as long as the employee is on an electoral roll.
