Time: 100 Best TV Shows of All-Time

  • Graeme Edgeler,

Time's TV critic has spent months compiling his 100 best list

For me, there are a few too many shows that are still on on it, but it's not bad for an Ameri-centric list.

'cept the absence of any documentary series - just type David Attenborough into imdb and point blindly at the screen already...

    here's the list

Should be more careful that I don't copy a line break after the link, shouldn't I?

  • Joanna,

I can't believe they put Felicity on there. And I'm sure as I go through it I'll find more things to hate on.

Must be a typo, it's right where they should have written 'Firefly'.

  • James Griffin,

I'm sorry, but any list without Edge of Darkness and Boys From the Blackstuff is, quite simply, wrong.

  • Joanna,

    But ... important haircuts ...

Best use of a haircut as a plot device was when Buffy got hers cut and then was made invisible and her hair was what people cared about more. Well actually, the highlight of that episode was probably IM IN UR CRYPT, HABIN INVISIBLE SLAYA SEX. But still.

  • Rob Stowell,

Yeah, I could ditch at least half of those. He did pick up Singing Detective. But with you Mr Griffith; and also seriously missing at least the first series of Auf Weidersein Pet.

  • andrew llewellyn,

Pleased they have Wiseguy in there. The series that demonstrated that American TV drama was all grown up.
