  • Kyle Matthews,

    Over the summer I've watched:

Manhattan S01 - good, historically probably a bit woolly, but interesting.
Fargo S02 - continues on the excellence of season 1.
Silicon Valley s01 and s02 - really enjoyable.
izombie - seasons 1 and 2 (to date). Quirky and light take on zombies.
Making a Murderer. Compulsive viewing. Easily 9 stars, had me yelling at the TV.
The Heavy Water War (really interesting WW2 story from Norway).
Mr Robot S01 - I strugged with this a bit. Felt like it had its head too far up its arse.
Transparent S01 - 8 stars. Excellent lead acting, great story.
    Utopia S01 - OK but I wasn't inspired.
The Expanse S01 - I struggled with it a bit - two parallel stories which eventually came together, but one never kicked for me.

Vikings S04 has started. Still really good, worth going back to season one if you haven't seen it.

The Walking Dead continues reasonably well, but I wonder how long they can keep it up. It's difficult source material to convert, it's very over the top in many ways. Really looking forward to GOT coming back next month.

  • Steve Barnes,

    What am I looking at?….
Well, it appears that I am watching “Key TV”
Last night, on “Johnno & Ben” we were “treated” to Key Snr being “Pranked” by the dubious duo, bushwhacked as they say, did they have any questions to ask? No…
Then we were inspired by the crash test dummy that is Key Jnr in yet another “Prank” “Car Karaoke” where a selection of songs with the title “Forget You” but not his one, were played. He looked sullen, you could read the expression on his face “You’re supposed to be pushing my record”. When they, eventually, played the abominable bile that is Max’s masterpiece he came alive with the vociferous flamboyance of Marcel Marceau, that guy has talent for the radio, coffee making I would imagine.
On the subject of radio, Key Jnr. is playing records on George and no-one is allowed to speak ill of the boy. Meanwhile, Steffie is spread, literally, across the pages of our National Newshaper , what next? Bronagh Bakes Biscuits on 3?.
This begs the question. Is it possible that JK’s “Blind” trust is something to do with Oaktree Investments, does it have a hand in NZME? And why, oh why are we being constantly told to be kind to Key’s kids when that same media is telling us all they can about the children of the damned?.

    Not dirty then?
I am beginning to think this is just another ploy to attack "Lefties" as being mean, dirty, smelly, rent-a-crowd, bludging, lazy, useless and unkind to children.
    Little do they know....

  • Ian Dalziel,

Been sick in bed for some days - ended up watching all of The Deep on TVNZ On Demand - must've missed it on broadcast...
Then went to TV3 on demand to see what they had to offer - couldn't find one thing I wanted to watch.

  • Alfie,

I see Max Key has made a dick of himself again.

    Real men ride women.

    Sure thing Max. Sure thing.
