    Canterbury Pilgrims, for example

    First Four Ships and 'Godley-ness is next to cleanliness' aside,
    the above is my first immediate association....

  • Ian Dalziel,

    Harking back to the original topic of this post – I note the spuriously named Taxpayers’ Union lobby group has got another of their crew into Stuff’s Opinion arena;
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/111279052/is-drug-legalisation-worse-than-the-status-quo
    sadly the only attribution to Jim Rose’s bonafides to comment is just a link to his blog and no mention of his Taxpayers’ Union links – I suspect Stuff is merely being cynically used as a doorman for directing the innocent into Rose’s paean to capitalism and the rule of law (well the ones they support) and all that comes with that…
    - is this helping I have to ask…?

    There in big bold type at the start is a word of warning OPINION
    Which puts me in mind of that saying 'opinions are like arseholes everybody's got one'
    Ya gotta wonder sometimes.... Are these people just exhibitionist's who get a kick outta bending over and exposing the contents of their mental anus to the world?

    And how many of them, are there out there? ... <shudder>

  • Simon Armstrong,

    Rest in peace baby Isaiah.

    Instead of shame for green lighting synthetics the crown imprisons grandmother, wiping their feet on his grave.
