On a happier note, you might want to pop over to Bob Dylan's website for your free download of 'Dreamin' of You', from his forthcoming album Tell Tale Signs, No.8 in the Bootleg Series of rare and unreleased material.
The full two disc set is now streaming on NPR music for a week before it’s release 7 October.

For me 'Red River Shore' is the standout. A bit early in the listening cycle to say, but this could be a 'great' Bob Dylan song. Hard to believe but like 'Blind Willie McTell' this one has been quietly maturing in the vaults and has now been released for general consumption at it's peak. I've been listening to this guy for 40 years and he still has the power to amaze.

I finally got to read the Mary Jane Boland "Gay Wrong" article online & then here response to Chris Lawrence's letter:
Mary Jane Boland responds: Lawrence is correct. None of the experts interviewed – including those at the Human Rights Commission – explained charitable trusts are exempt from the act. However, two questions remain: should charities remain exempt and should a minister of the Crown from any party – especially an Education Minister – support a scholarship that benefits some pupils over others?
Here response was amazing in that she basically admitted to having undertaken no research herself to find the July 2008 clarification on scholarships. I thought it might have been hard to find - but once I found the Human Rights Commission website I found the July 2008 ruling - in all it took less than two minutes to find this article.
One final check I did was see what her role at the listener was. Finding she was Deputy Editor I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
