  • JacksonP, in reply to BenWilson,

A little warning to be careful with names.

What you need, to be safe, is a Japanese Restaurant Name Generator.

    e.g.
    Karate Sushi Bistro
Humble Rising Sun Sushi Courtyard (Humblebrag?)

    and today’s favourite…
    Pleasureful Edo Octopus Typhoon

  • Lilith __,

Just when I thought Ian’s writing couldn’t get any more superlative, he raises the bar again. Breathtaking.

  • Ian Dalziel, in reply to Lilith __,

    humour of sense...

..bravo. I’m lost for words, really...

    Lost forwards, you say?
if you were a rugby ball
    there'd be a scrum!

    But seriously, thanks...
it just started as a list of words
    touchstones if you will
but once I got on track
    brailled as it were
    they started getting jiggy
    all by themselves
    and became
    touch tones...
    and before I knew it
    it was a night on
    the tactiles!

    ...and even thenI forgot
    to add Frisson
    which was, in fact, the
    word I first thought of,
    and shudder put in there...

  • Ian Dalziel, in reply to Islander,

    PUBLISH THAT!

    Really? Thanks, shucks...
But won't anyone think of the trees?
    :- )

I have the facilities to make
    endless short-run chap books...
    but where to sell them?
    and who would buy them?

but in lieu of anything more
profitable to do, it's a project
I will give some thought to
    over the solar orbit celebration

I do like real poets like Harold Budd

    and Lenny...

  • Ian Dalziel, in reply to Bart Janssen,

    ...what genius is

it's the coming thing - Gen I Us,
none of this Gen Hex, X, Y, Z, etc
    the new co-operative
    and aware era
    roll on 2012...

    really
I just toss words in the air
    and observe the patterns
    the spaces between
    the connections
    and look for balance

I should really look for a job...

  • JacksonP, in reply to Bart Janssen,

Yeah, if it wasn't for blimmin' Ian, we'd all look almost average.

Speaking of 4AD goodness, Dead Can Dance have been working together again, and offering free live recording through their website. Rumours of tour may be premature, but I for one would welcome our 16th century Catalan overlords.

Ah, yes apologies -- what I was thinking of was as in 'Kaitangata Twitch', the eerily earthquake-themed Canterbury TV series that screened in 2010 (pre-September...) I had forgotten the typical meaning.....
