Yeah, and I always liked it too.

But you listen to 'All the Way Down' and that's a whole 'nother trip.

  • Matthew Littlewood,

    That SJD track is great.

I know this has been around for ages, but I reckon this "fan-made" video for Brian Eno's "King's Lead Hat" is just perfect. It couldn't capture the manic feel of the song better- and it also features a few cool musical jokes (including the obvious Talking Heads reference).

Indeed, it seemed to be a trend a while back to make awesome video collages to Brian Eno tracks. Here's an equally stellar one for Byrne and Eno's "America is Waiting".

Of course. But 'What A Difference A Day Makes' is a nice disco song (and a cover). I hadn't been aware of her more hard-assed material.

  • Danielle,

and composed of some very familiar elements

    Is it what. Fun, though!

I realise that I have been thinking “All the Way Down” was a cover of Allen Toussaint’s “On Your Way Down” and they are not the same song *at all*. Silly me.

Also: I had never heard that cover of “What a Difference a Day Makes”, and I thought I was pretty au fait with disco. (Or maybe: disc’au fait. Heh.)

ETA The bassist on "Home is Where the Hatred Is" is TRUCKING. Awesome.

  • Geoff Lealand,

On older music, in the interest of historical symmetry , I should go see The Pretty Things at the Powerstation in December 11. As a very young sprout, I was at the New Plymouth concert which famously led to them being banned for life from New Zealand (a ban which has presumably expired, or maybe TPTs are the undead?) They are using The Truth story to promote their 2012 tour,
