  • Craig Ranapia,

Kitty flash? You, sir, are going to hell -- and you won't be allowed to hang out with the cool damned.

  • Jackie Clark,

<sigh> When I first saw it's loveliness, I almost cried, mostly from happiness that it was back up really. I'm addicted to you people - like Megan said on Twitter, it's like crack, but your brain grows while you're doing it.

  • Alan Macdougall,

Very pretty. Liking the webfonts, oh yes.

  • Danielle,

This attractively serifed font makes me feel as though all of my postings should be Very Significant. Must try harder.

  • Deborah,

Yes. Yes, I do like it. I like the large font, because alas, these days, my eyes have issues.

  • Deborah, in reply to Deborah,

So does that little 'reply' button do something clever and nesty?

  • Islander,

Takes time to get used to changes...like font. Layout, leaner, cooler-

  • webweaver, in reply to Deborah,

    let's see shall we?

Edit: bah - no nesting (though that would be confusing I think - too easy to miss answers to earlier posts once you'd read later ones) - but I like the way it says who I replied to. V helpful!

Love the fonts and the layout too. Great job guys!

Oh, the temptation to come back with Comic Sans, just for a couple of hours...

  • Robyn Gallagher,

Do you like what we've done with the place?

    Why, yes, I do rather!

While the site was down, Russell tweeted the names of all the people who've contributed Speaker posts. It was a bloody impressive roll call and made me excited to think about future contributors to PA (I've heard rumours...)

I love the combining of PA and PAS. It makes sense, and even now in its early days, it just feels right.

And I am pleased that I can now entoot my user profile by adding my Twitter name. (And I can toot posts, complete with PA's custom URL shrinker!)

    Nice one!

  • Robyn Gallagher, in reply to Robyn Gallagher,

Potential bug - quoted text doesn't show up with the quoting format when it's previewed.

  • Deborah, in reply to webweaver,

But it does cunningly say, "in reply to [whoever]" and if you click on [whoever], it takes you back to the comment the person is replying to. A very nice balance between nesting, and keeping the conversation ordered. I like it.

  • FletcherB,

Congrats on the upgrade... (if a running a tad behind schedule... before lunchtime Thursday eh?)

Too soon to pass final judgement, but looks good to me so far...

From the sound of it you've got too much on right now to give us the low-down on the setup/install head-aches- maybe later? :)

  • Kumara Republic,

Good to see it's all gone 1-step now, from the previous 2-step posting process. Next in the pipeline, automated formatting buttons...

  • Sacha,

Bravo the readable typography and smart resizing behaviour. Love the colour-coded rollovers on the new front page.

One minor niggle at first glance. Showing relative time (3 minutes ago, a day ago) has always frustrated me on Twitter and I don't like it any more here. Prefer absolute date/time as in old design.

  • Ben Gracewood,

Totally loving the new layout and features, but to be a killjoy for a moment: Typekit is a stain on the interwebs at the moment. Fonts look horrendous in all Windows browsers: http://twitpic.com/35rydj/full

Thanks for providing the disable Typekit button :)
