It seems very trivial to point this out, but if you add a space between the ‘php’ and the </q> the paragraph works correctly.
It made me wonder, so guessing it might have you also.

Looks like naked URLs break the highlight quote. I’ll link them in the future.
Maybe there should be the addition of a space at the end of the selection as the default behaviour.
ETA: that is me assuming because it happened to so many people that it was the highlight quote not the manual q/q's.Then I saw “before” footage last night and realised it was actually quite a large square building.
I haven’t looked at before images of the CTV building – I’m a little hesitant given how small the pile of rubble looks.

Not just traumatic events. Reality is too complex for some people, so prejudice and bias frame their entire outlook.

The PGC building, you can see that it was a building before, and what shape it was roughly. CTV, not so much. Gah.

Not being able to concentrate on work too much over the past couple of days. Lived there for 12 years (the middle third of my life, I have just realised). It seems like a long time ago. Trying to work out where everything is or was.
Hope nobody minds me crunching some numbers – it is what I do. Using the raw data from GNS, it seems as though on February 22, the CBD saw 2 or 3 times the peak ground acceleration compared with September 4. A rapid drop off with distance, compared to larger, deeper September 4 event. Cavets of course – I am not a geologist.
+1 for those bringing the attention onto the building codes with respect to strengthening and lack of effective compliance. It is too probably late, except maybe for a very lucky few in Chch. But what about next time? Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, I often got/get the impression that NZ has a parsimonious culture driven by short term costs, rather than long term benefits. What will be the long term outcome of this?

Construction material and design plays a huge part in how a building comes down. A concrete floor that was poured onto wood sheets (subsequently removed), with no internal re-bars, will disintegrate into chunks and dust. They also have no real attachment to the building shell, which is often constructed the same way, and the whole thing falls apart when shaken.
I'm speculating on the construction of the CTV building, but as you say there's no obvious resemblance between pre- and post-quake appearance and that's one way that this could happen.

The CTV building was big. Only the first two stories were CTV. Big modern building, and its collapse is just shocking. I started TV work at CTV when it opened in 1991 (in the TVNZ building- also rather damaged.)
Hard to take in the complete destruction, and the horrible fires that followed. Not many of the original staff still there, but it really was a community station, and it hits Canterbury hard :( -
Our building is only two years old, and out by the airport, off Roydvale Ave. In the September 4 earthquake, a couple of offices and some of the open plan areas on the second floor had ceiling tiles down and a couple of air conditioning units fell out of the ceiling. No structural damage though.
This time there was a LOT more superficial damage - most of the ceiling tiles have come away from the suspended ceiling, lighting units are scattered all over the place, and a couple of broken windows - but the air conditioning units, which were more firmly tethered after September 4, stayed put. Still no structural damage.

After the recording this avo, I dropped in at St. Patrick's Cathedral for some quiet time and came to the conclusion that my nervous energy was better spent in prayer for the eternal rest of the souls of the dead, the relief of all those who suffer in body and spirit, and eternal blessings on those who have acted with courage and grace.
