Thunderpants are Teh Awesome as are Fanny Adams (which are kind of like thunderpants' sensible aunt).

That doesn't make sense at all "Sweet Fanny Adams" was always a play on "Sweet F(uck) A(ll)" which would suggest a thong...

Heh. I remember a Tony Hancock piece years ago where he went to the tailor anf he was asked "How do you dress"

I was taught that when one's tailor asks this question, a gentlemen should instruct him to make the legs roomy down to just above the knees.

  • Susannah Shepherd,

Add another vote for Thunderpants. They may well be ’90s style, some of mine are probably that old – and still sound in fabric, elastic and comfort. Plus very comfy for those of us with thunder thighs...

I got some for my male sidekick and he said ''err...ok. Will give them a go, ,, and he swears they are very comfy'. Now my 4 year old has them. They last ages.. 3+ years!.. and STILL going strong!

  • Jackie Clark,

My Dad always wore cotton boxers. Always. Never saw him in anything else (and believe me, in a house where nudity is the norm, you see alot of your parents' underwear). Ironically enough, when my Dad was at the helm, Ceramco owned Bendon for a while. And I find their undies very comfortable.

  • Sonia Braid,

I went shopping with a bloke for underwear once... never again (and I'm a marathon shopper by any stretch of the imagination). He bypassed pair after pair in shop after shop (and eventually country after country) decrying seams in unfortunate locations, the tightness of fit compared to his not-so-tiny thighs, the interplay between undies and suit pants, and was doomed to roll out his hole-y favourites until he discovered a pair of Bonds that did the trick. Whew!

It wasn't until then that I realised the sheer mechanics of finding a pair of mens undies that didn't scrunch everything up, ride up your crack, or make you sing soprano because the seams were in the wrong place. I'm with Jackie though - Bendon still works for me.
