  • Craig Ranapia,

Gone is the come-hither finger and the sloped, winking eye.

I think whoever wrote that needs to go on Christmas leave __permanently_? 'Come-hither finger' - ewwww...

Now if we could get this three stories high, I'd die a happy man:

  • Robyn Gallagher,

The new Santa has what I would describe as an eager mouth.

Fictitiously overheard at Saturdays Demo-Crazy march...
"Daddy why are Santa's eyes bandaged?"
"He went blind because you weren't a good boy, now you wait 'till I get you home you little..."

  • Damian Christie,

I'm wondering if I was too subtle on this one. You do realise Russell, that all I did was photoshop John Banks' face onto the old Santa? I was kinda making a joke about what happens when the Auckland City Council spends money or something, I don't know. I just wanted to see what it looked like... as you were.

  • Damian Christie,

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh........... maybe we need to start using our <sarcasm> and <irony> tags around here again. I just had someone commenting on my facebook that they thought the new santa looked like John Banks. But of course my facebook friends are no public address readers :)

  • Craig Ranapia,

Would it relieve the excessive subtlety if I posted another clip from Bad Santa? Trying to help. :)

If it will help break the Johnny Banks = Santa connection I have made in my brain.

    Otherwise my Christmas is ruined.

  • kmont,

I am pretty gobsmacked the council think that it is appropriate to spend that much money on a bloody bauble.

They should have put that money straight into the foodbank.

  • Sofie Bribiesca,

They should have put that money straight into the foodbank.

They don't care about the food bank, a clean and tidy Santa will give the image that they care. that is sufficient. Will however give them credit for the housing of the homeless project that was goin' fine until the CitRats took over and stalled but I think it is still happening even if the pov is now better to house to get off the street. All about the image, methinks
