  • Gudrun Gisela,

It seems someone stole them. Almost impossible with all that police presence and army personnel but they have gone. I guess when you have mayhem it might have given crooks a few ideas.

I believe only one was stolen, and the other two are in council storage, though I can't find a link to corroborate that. I do note that plans are afoot to redo the bronze beast from scratch...

  • Gudrun Gisela, in reply to Ian Dalziel,

Thanks Ian. I did like those little critters made of bronze while not too crazy about real ones. They seem to be quite nippy around any exposed ankle if they are in high spirit. Anyway good to know there is the live one to pose for the artist. Perhaps this time the artworks gets anchored a bit more solidly so opportunists will be unable to pick them up and take them..

Ah! Ex-Chch friends have been asking me if "the cherry trees" are out. I can now answer in the affirmative! :-)

  • Just thinking,

I dislike Corgis (childhood trauma called Dino) and of an enjoyable evening (hic) have tripped over those bloody things a fare bit. Although stolen public sculptures is a bad thing, I have a sence of the greater good being achieved here.

    Sooo cute Gudrun.

I shall be rejoining you here soon; which is really an excuse to say that I have taken the DSLR plunge at long last, after really wanting the image quality but trying to do them on a high-spec compact. Yesterday I bought a Nikon S3200, and I'm in love from the first shot! I was up until 2am playing with it!

In memory. As birthdays and anniversaries roll over another year loved ones leave flowers. Still after all this time no provision made to put those flowers into a vessel with water. On a Norwester they might last a few hours.
