Perfect spring night at Mangere bridge. Football, sunset and fish ‘n’ chips.
Sounds like a Peak Spring Experience.... probably a few slightly singed noses and shoulders out there this evening.

It was reciprocated with a gloriously ominous ruddy/pink suffusion down here this morning.
Sun-sky says: cold snapper coming - presaged perhaps by days of blue skies and prismatic merino-clip clouds overhead...
...at least I got the lawn mowed
before the morn lowed... -

Wrong season, I know, and I can’t help but think I’ve posted a picture of a similar flower before, but I can’t find it… But this was sitting on a lawn in the rain yesterday.
Under the 4th Ring Road in the rain. Perhaps it was the sense of desolation this scene left me that made the flower stand out so much.
