Sounds like a Peak Spring Experience.... probably a few slightly singed noses and shoulders out there this evening.

    now yer waxin' flaxen!

    ...sunset

    lovely...
It was reciprocated with a gloriously ominous ruddy/pink suffusion down here this morning.
Sun-sky says: cold snapper coming - presaged perhaps by days of blue skies and prismatic merino-clip clouds overhead...
...at least I got the lawn mowed
    before the morn lowed...

Those drops look beautiful, like polished amber or kauri gum?

Lovely day in Gisborne today. Mid-morning, kitchen window view again but with focus on the windows through the alder tree - black backed gull at left, Town Hill/Whataupoko trig at right, 3 km away.

We have the southerly rain now and I'm not heading out into it. Instead one from two weeks ago as the plum blossoms were about to put out.

    And closer.
The corrugated zincalume not my choice of fencing, but it does make for a good back-drop and interesting drop-refraction.

Wrong season, I know, and I can’t help but think I’ve posted a picture of a similar flower before, but I can’t find it… But this was sitting on a lawn in the rain yesterday.

Under the 4th Ring Road in the rain. Perhaps it was the sense of desolation this scene left me that made the flower stand out so much.
