  • Hebe,

Thanks for the vicarious holidays. Wintry waters and Onetangi lovely. And Jackson's floating dandy. Sorry I cannot contribute: I have lost six months of photos; irretrievably. Shrug: more irritated than bereft fortunately.
@Emma: Is yr daughter still at Unltd? Mine have just started.. loving it.

Can’t beat the old tyre swing as the sun goes down.

Just had a chance to notice these photos. That's one brilliant shot JP. likeitalot

The vessel in the pic of me looking at the water is the Spirit of New Zealand and contains the daughter of one Emma Hart. Here’s a better shot.

Cool photos. I hear that trip is memorable. Our good friend Michael may have been the Skipper. He does that shared job. The Vessel is stunning (to say the least of the trip.)

    misty volcano.

mysterious, looming, vaguely threatening volcano. Great shot.

Thanks Sofie. Hope life is treating you will. Seems like a long time between drinks. :-)

    vaguely threatening volcano

Thanks too Chris. I’ve been trying to catch different angles on the ubiquitous motu puia (??). As above.

  • Hebe,

Wish me luck you inspiring Capturers: I'm photographing my niece's wedding this afternoon; nervous much. The first time I have done anything like this (and the request came as a direct result of playing around on Capture).

Best of luck Hebe! Hope you have an assistant-organiser, I'd say that's almost the most important thing, to have someone to run around and round up the people you need when you need them and to run around adjusting them if necessary so that you can stay behind the camera - have fun : )

    Storm bringer…
Blair Parkes has just showcased some of his wonderful coast-to-coast captures – literally, but he paints with ‘float-ons’ instead of photons…
… I like them a lot, the markings beguile and trigger random responses.

and which way is 'up' ?
in the ocean it's always a bob each way...

Fair dos. Seems to be a disproportionate number of abandoned bags of doggy do on the Hobson Bay walkway.

    the hows at Pooh Corner...

a disproportionate number of abandoned bags of doggy do

Does this imply an equal but opposing incommensurate quantity of doggy do-less bags in an ownerless state?

Just trying to grapple with the purported size of the plant-borne pendulous poop-packed polyethylene pouch proliferation,
With a sample of one, and X and Y are unknown but relative...
    ;- )

I suspect this is the sort of problem I could solve, had I paid more attention during algebra some decades ago, cough.

Solution: A fecal DNA analysis machine linked to the database of chipped and DNA sampled dogs - a good little earner for the ACC.
    ;- )

(PS there was a full page ad for Auckland in The Press the other day, that 'A' logo really does make it look like a division of Telecom©)

  • Hebe,

Crossed fingers unclenched: all went well and got a decent lot of pix which satisfied everyone. Nora, the assistant idea was great -- a megaphone for rounding up the stragglers in the groups would be an addition (the DJ failed to show so no sound system). I'll post one or two when I get to the PC.

Because some twat 'updated' it to replace the frayed material edges with that telecon scribble.
