My friend Kerry taking a picture of some brightly-coloured windmills before a ceremony on Palm Beach on Saturday. And yes, her hair really is that colour.

I thought I’d see what happens if I took a couple of pictures the way I was reading Mad Max’s night scenes were done- Massively (3-4 stops) underexposured + blue filter, and brought back up. With my old camera it created an odd effect.

    June, alright.

I never saw the Leith like that when I lived in Dunedin! I hope all of you down there are safe and dry.

About 24 hours later, after about 12 hours of not raining, the Leith has almost fallen enough to be back inside its watercourse.

The second one looks like a Van Gough . The birds grey is stone like against the red, it's eye is red. It's front body is sunlite, it looks perfect apart from its hopeless feet.

I'm sure someone less lazy than me could run it through a photoshop filter and make it totally authentico!

  • Ross Mason,

The Statue has triggered a Memory. Was it Alan Whicker who was in the car doing a travel doco on NZ when Robbie was in the car doing an interview with him with no shirt on??….I have this weird very old early 60s memory of that….

    Shortest day!!

    tilting at the sun...
Inversely it's the longest day here!
Plus free music all over Paris today -

But no PA Friday music post to mention it on - c'est la vie...
Might check out the klezmer bands tonight, just round the corner, though it is sobering seeing armed soldiers stationed outside many Jewish schools and other buildings in La Marais and elsewhere...
