    Just heard from a friend whose non-verbal adult daughter was not allowed to vote because she couldn't say her name.Mother too tired to fight. She has voted until now. The Easyvote card used to be sufficient.

    This I get.

    Perhaps one of those instances where a call or an email to a disability friendly journalist might be appropriate?

    If only to put it out there to see if others have been treated this way.

    Incidentally, from what I understand, the only prerequisite for working at the Polling Booths is eyesight good enough to read the tiny, tiny print on the Electoral Roll.

    I think that's how the right win these days, just tire you out with nonsense, make something so uncomfortable that you just retreat for sanity reasons
